At Stobart & Hurrell we are not only passionate about what we do, we are also passionate about what as a local business we can do.
Nelson’s Journey is a Norfolk based charity supporting children who have experienced the death of a significant person in their life.
They believe every bereaved child in Norfolk should look forward to a positive future, empowered to reach their full potential.
“It was a big relief being able to talk about my mum, and to remember the good times” - Matthew, aged 15.
As a family orientated business, we will support Nelson’s Journey with a donation upon each sale or let property.
We also embraced the challenge to raise some additional funds to celebrate the charities 20th Anniversary; appreciating that Nelson’s Journey provide something very special for bereaved children in Norfolk, we felt we needed to challenge ourselves to do something extraordinary for us – The Round Norfolk Epic - a 200 mile bike ride in one day circumnavigating Norfolk.
With the support of the very able cyclist Patrick Stobart, our novice cyclist Peter Hurrell crossed the finishing line some fourteen hours after setting off and after twelve hours of peddling.
It was an amazing journey and one that became more than simply a long bike ride for a very good cause, it reminded us all of the utter kindness and goodwill of those we have the fortune to meet who selflessly give up their time, their experience and in deed to the many who give up their hard earned money to help us support Nelson’s Journey.
